Velocity Health Group was created with one purpose in mind: to professionalize the behavioral health workforce.

Our Mission is to radically improve behavioral health outcomes by putting the right people – trained, valued, and inspired – at the center of care.

Our Vision is to revolutionize behavioral healthcare by setting a new national standard in treatment, training, and trust – anchored by the first behavioral health teaching hospital of its kind.

This will be accomplished in five distinct ways:

1) Pay all employees a professional wage.
2) Train all employees in a professional manner.
3) Deploy the highest staffing ratios in the adolescent space.
4) Bring together the top clinical minds who have deep experience working with complex patient profiles.
5) Creation of the industry’s first Human Performance Center benefitting all patients, their families, and employees.

In professionalizing the workforce, we will pioneer a new level of care called an Accelerated Treatment Center. For many adolescents and their families, short-term treatment is too short, and long-term treatment too long. The acuity and complexity of the adolescents entering treatment requires a bespoke model that combines intensive inpatient treatment with an integrated continuing care model designed for long-term success. We are excited to unpack this model with you all over the coming weeks.

Velocity Health Group is located just outside Springfield, Missouri. Our initial population will be adolescent males who present with higher levels of acuity and complexity. We are licensed as a Residential Treatment Center by the state of Missouri and will be accredited by The Joint Commission.

Visions Adolescent Treatment Center (with Beck Gee-Cohen)

Located throughout Southern California, our Visions Treatment Centers offer calm and serene environments for teens to focus on their well-being, while our teams of doctors, therapists, and specialists address a wide spectrum of disorders and conditions. We approach each case holistically and offer a variety of programs throughout our facilities. Each of our locations specializes in a different set of programs, and collectively we work with adolescents to treat mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, co-occurring disorders, and other mental health diagnoses.

Our affordable online course and certified coaching program provides parents with evidence-based skills and support to achieve predictable improvements in treatment entry and recovery engagement for their child, while improving their own physical health, mood (anxiety, depression) and functioning. Working with even just one parent, together, we can make lasting positive changes for your family and help get your loved one through addiction recovery.
