Velocity Health Group was created with one purpose in mind: to professionalize the behavioral health workforce.
Our Mission is to radically improve behavioral health outcomes by putting the right people – trained, valued, and inspired – at the center of care.
Our Vision is to revolutionize behavioral healthcare by setting a new national standard in treatment, training, and trust – anchored by the first behavioral health teaching hospital of its kind.
This will be accomplished in five distinct ways:
1) Pay all employees a professional wage.
2) Train all employees in a professional manner.
3) Deploy the highest staffing ratios in the adolescent space.
4) Bring together the top clinical minds who have deep experience working with complex patient profiles.
5) Creation of the industry’s first Human Performance Center benefitting all patients, their families, and employees.
In professionalizing the workforce, we will pioneer a new level of care called an Accelerated Treatment Center. For many adolescents and their families, short-term treatment is too short, and long-term treatment too long. The acuity and complexity of the adolescents entering treatment requires a bespoke model that combines intensive inpatient treatment with an integrated continuing care model designed for long-term success. We are excited to unpack this model with you all over the coming weeks.
Velocity Health Group is located just outside Springfield, Missouri. Our initial population will be adolescent males who present with higher levels of acuity and complexity. We are licensed as a Residential Treatment Center by the state of Missouri and will be accredited by The Joint Commission.
