I have been professionally trained in two methods of intervention. The Break Free method by Brad Lamm and the CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) method by Dr. Robert J. Meyers, Ph.D. Both these methods align perfectly with a principle that I have believed in for a long time and that is that recovery is for the ENTIRE family and not just their addicted loved one. I have witnessed in both my personal and professional experiences that when the entire family system works together towards positive change, recovery is possible! So many families have been restored, including mine! I love educating, enlightening and empowering families and helping them take back control of their lives. To see them enter into a new happy and healthy way of life is such a gift. I am so fortunate to get to be a part of their journey! Together, we will develop a family plan of change, put it into action and begin your journey of recovery. I will serve as your guide throughout this process and together we will change your life for the better!

Are you stuck in negative parenting dynamics with your child? Do you feel caught in frequent power-struggles? Do you struggle with how to respond to your child who is defiant or shut-down? Are you over-involved as a parent? Unsure how to back away, how to let go, or how to provide the best support as a parent? Do you fear your child can’t handle life’s obstacles? This class is aimed at parents of struggling preteens, teens and young adults who may have received some treatment for behavioral, emotional or mental health struggles. In each class Krissy teaches different topics related to the Parallel Process content and has a Q and A for parents to ask questions and discuss new approaches to navigating their parent-child relationships.
