Ted Perkins is the founder of Recovery Movie Meet-Ups, an innovative peer-support model that uses film and guided discussion to explore addiction, mental health, trauma, and recovery. Drawing on lived experience and a 30-year career in Hollywood as a studio executive, producer, and screenwriter, Ted harnesses the power of storytelling to foster insight and connection. Created as an accessible entry point for individuals and families hesitant to engage in traditional recovery settings, Recovery Movie Meet-Ups is now used by treatment centers, correctional facilities, and community organizations nationwide. Ted is also a SMART Recovery Facilitator, published author, public speaker, parent, and avid mountain biker.
