I was raised in Arizona in a ranching family. I graduated from Mingus Union High School in Jerome Arizona. Enlisted in the Air Force in 1972. Upon honorable discharge in 1976 I became a police officer in Arlington, Texas where I initially worked deep undercover narcotics, later patrol, and then chaplaincy. I have 2 sons and 3 daughters. All the children are grown now and I have 4 grandchildren. I returned to training horses and in 1994 and started training wild mustangs. I became a certified horse trainer in 2011. I was hired to develop the wild horse inmate program for Arizona State Prison in 2012.
