Lauren Ellis-Hanson is the IOP/PHP Programs Director for Foresight Mental Health based out of California. She attended CSU Monterey Bay where she received a BA in Psychology and then earned her Masters in Counseling with a health psychology emphasis from Santa Clara University, graduating magna cum laude.

When asked about how Lauren found herself working with higher level of care populations (IOP/PHP), she states “I never imagined this. I really thought I’d be a child therapist crawling on the floor with kids and doing art all day.” Lauren found her passion for IOP/PHP during her associateship.

Lauren’s hope in her career and realm of mental health is to help de-stigmatize higher levels of care. She works to create a safe space and programs for individuals to find a sense of stability, acceptance, and confidence. Lauren focuses on bringing her program’s mission statement to life: “Together we begin to learn, grow and heal.”
