Rachael E. Gibson, PhD, MPH, MS, MEd (she/her/ella)
Dr. G is an AASECT Certified Sex Educator based in Miami, FL, spending much of her time in Brooklyn, NY, and Cape Town, South Africa. Dr. G has taught comprehensive health and sex education worldwide, including 17 years as a high school health teacher. She has over 20 years of experience in the field and founded AB Global in 2023. AB Global is a transnational organization that supports educators, youth-serving professionals, and families in their work and relationships with young people. AB stands for Abantu Bahle, which means ‘people are beautiful’ in isiXhosa (one of the 11 national languages of South Africa).
In addition, Dr. G is an adjunct professor at Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies and Wright State University. She also has a continued research partnership at the University of Western Cape in South Africa.
Dr. G earned a B.S. in Health Science from the University of Arizona, an MPH from California State University, Long Beach, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from the City College of New York, and a MEd and PhD from Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies.
In her free time, you can find her on the dance floor, sunning on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or traveling with her dog Lola.
